Thank you so much for your kind comments about Dusty. Unfortunately, Dusty passed away on May 25th this year from an insulin pancreatic tumor. I had submitted his picture and bio before he got sick. It was bittersweet to see him honored as Dog of the Day. We miss him terribly and sometimes the void in our life is unbearable. He wasn't just a great dog. He was a cherished member of our family.
From the comments made from people that view this site, I know that you feel the same about your pets. Thank you for the stories you write about your babies. They brighten my day and make me smile. Most of all, they remind me of Dusty and the love he had for his family.
We will be so glad to see him at Rainbow Bridge. It will be a joyous reunion.

Hi, there. Dusty was gorgeous, he sounds like he was a very special dog. I bet he his looking down from the rainbow bridge right now, saying thank you mommy for submitting my picture on dog of the day, I knew I was special to you as you were special to me. I know you are proud right now of your boy even if he is at the rainbow bridge. Many hugs to you!

You can bet that your beloved boy is watching over you. What wonderful, happy memories you have of your awesome Dusty. Although he's our DOTD after his passing, please know that he brought smiles to us. The pain of losing him will always be with you, but know that Dusty is now in a better place and suffering no more. He's herding a lot of Pet Talk friends! Thank you for joining us, and sharing Dusty's story.
