    Oh Hail, Oh Hail!!!!

Ok, ok, my faithful subjects, you may rise now. No need to grovel, you'll all get served whether I'm here or not.

Yes, it was me that mentioned the reunion, although....I've been called a "broad" before, but....what's a "bord"? Oh wait, that's what my brothers always told me my chest resembled.

Had a good time at the reunion. About 10:30 pm Terry says, so is there anybody else you want to talk to? I said "Nope, never talked to them in high school, why start now?" So we left.

I'll take a Mai Tai, but can we make it not taste like coconut? If not, just give me a good ol' slushie.

Levis big bells were my jean of choice in high school. Hip huggers they were called then - not low rise - what the heck is with this low rise anyway?

Mario, you are so adorable in your little crown! Are those cherries in it instead of rubies?

Cripes this thread makes me feel O-L-D lol!

I graduated HS in 2000...I'm not really looking forward to my 10 year reunion only because the people I would talk to...I already hang out with. There were some good people and of course there were some real cretins too. Oh well, I'll show up anyway...married and a whole heck of a lot thinner lol.

I'll take a DOTD, I love Mai Tais....its one of my favorites! Oh, and I can't forget the CNTs and could you come up with a little treat for my ratties? They're feeling a little left out.

Mario, you're just too darn cute in that crown! May I share a dance with you?

Here's a quarter for the Juke box, a MT for you and a cherry for Mario..
    ALL Hail the KING!

    And I don't mean Elvis.!!

    KK,

Never had a MAI TAI!!! Stick with us and you'll end up in trouble!

    DONE!

    Barbara,

Our Bell bottoms had the sewn on 'extension' border around the bottom-Peace signs, doves, ankhs and other stuff!!

    Catland...

You were in Hawaii in 2002? And I bet the place has never been the same since!!!

    One Mai Tai? DONE!

    David,

One Mai Tai and 4 CNTs and an Advisor's sash....
    DONE!

One thing about going to my reunions...

The Star Quarterback of the football team was there..

I was taller, had more hair and didn't need to light up a cigarette every five minutes.

THAT was worth the price of the ticket.

OMG!! I forgot to mention!!! ALL of the guys who were most popular and the best looking in school....were all bald!!! I didn't even recognize most of them because they were all bald, short plump old men! And here I come, all tall and slender (ok, not quite a 30" waist, but still relatively slim) with only a few wrinkles and only my hairdresser knows why I have no gray!

I agree Richard, definitely worth the cost of admission!

Although....our lockers were assigned alphabetically so through the entire 5 years of high school (we got put in the high school building in 8th grade - no middle school at that time) I was right next to what I thought was one of the best looking guys in school. He was there. He was not bald, short, plump or old...but he is married! Didn't talk to him. Out of the 5 years we spent right next to each other, we never talked, why start now?

I remember the embroidery, but I never did any of it myself. Did you wear the jacket to your reunion?

    And speaking of clothes...

My clothes are smaller than they were "back in the day" but as I look down at my rock band T-shirt, baggy khaki pants and hiking boots I realize...

I WORE THIS IN HIGH SCHOOL!

D'oh, I'm such a dweeb lol. I'll probibly be sporting my "style" way into old age.

"Gee grandma, where did you get that classical music T-shirt? That band is so 50 years ago!"

I've never been to any of my High School reunions. I'd love to have a reunion of my Advanced Training class from FT Sill, but I think Oklahoma passed a law about us......

(we REALLY didn't mean to light the hotel room(s) on fire, and there was no damage done, no harm no foul?)

In the spirit of the Burleson Hall class of 1987, how about a 10 gallon scorpion bowl?

Hi everybody! No reunions for me, please!

I'll take a DOTD, and some of Kay's deep fried turkeys, sounds so yummy, so does the homemade mac and cheese.

I do hope everybody is doing okay. Debbie, are you feeling okay tonight? I hope so.

    Willie

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

You are much braver than I am. I have never gone to a reunion. I always felt that if I had wanted to stay in touch, then I would have.

OMG hip huggers? Were they flared?

I'll take a Mai Tai please barman. Never had one before.

I second, third an fourth that (I get an invitation every year but I never go).

Bell Bottoms: We even opened the seams of some shorter narrower jeans and sewed some extra cloth in. My first real ones were some grey corduroy Levi's.

What about the embroidery? I still have this jean jacket that I embroidered the entire back of - it was so cool! A few years ago my mom let my niece wear it for awhile. I have a picture of her modeling it...but it must be on my home computer. We also had a home ec project where we had to embroider something. I embroidered a pot leaf on my brother's jeans. Don't remember what kind of grade I got on that! Funny that the clothes we wore back in the late 70's are all back in again....although I know I wouldn't fit in anything I owned back then.....had a 30" waist back then.

Hmmm....just the thought of that makes me reach for the pitcher of slushies....what ever happened to that 30" waist? Where did it go?

High school definitely was a good time though.....where does the time go? Hmmm....looks like the time goes the same place my waist went!

    A reunion story?

I went to my reunion and I saw the gal that "I never talked to".

Our eyes met thru the crowd and we kept stealing glances at each other during the 'cocktail hour'...Got a chance to see her from behind (I was gonna say the "rear" but I know I'd get ridiculed for that....)

Great looking woman, she had a nice figure and a great dress on, I did catch her profile..and that was impressive too!

We were starting to circulate and I noticed that we were kinda moving in each other's direction.

Then we were about 15 feet away from each other when the crowd parted and I got a chance to see her from the neck down.

Cleavage isn't EVERYTHING but what caught my eye was she had spilled something on her breast...

I looked again and I thought MELANOMA (Skin cancer).

Nope, SC don't appear in a pattern like that...

This poor gal had decided to put a tattoo over one breast. It was a REAL BAD TATTOO. If it was any other color besides the dark blue color, it would have been tragic.

I think it was a flower, a rose to be more exact.....Cocktail hour ended before I could find out exactly what it was. I just didn't trust myself to keep my eyes above "board".....

I did feel sorry for her, She was still a nice looking gal-but that bad tattoo, and the dress she had on that emphasized it just ruined it.....

I'm not a big reunion person myself. I tried my 10 and 20, but I didn't have a big circle of friends back then and turns out that the ones that were my friends aren't the reunion type either.

But Mai-Tai's - that's a whole different story. I was in Hawaii in 2002 and we went on a "booze cruise" - a boat that spends a few hours on the ocean while we spend a few hours with unlimited mai-tai's.

(we finished the cruise and got on our red-eye flight back to the mainland - big mistake )

These are not the droids you were looking for

    Hi, gang!

Well, I guess I won't qualify as a homeoming Queen, but I could be one of Mario's advisors! Next year will be my 40th high school reunion. I graduated in the prehistoric year of 1966! RICHARD, could I have a Mai-Tai so that I won't have to think how long ago that was. Also three catnip teas for the girls.
