Well, I've found that many people do not REALLY understand, even though they think they do.

I told my neighbor (who's also a co-worker) about the new page, and mentioned that it was painful to do it, and she was just like "so why did you do it then?"

So, what could you reply to such a comment? Those people will never understand what it means.
