Yeah, I lost a pet cat as a child. She was already pretty old, and, I never did find out if she was all right. It doesn't bother me like it did, of course, but, that wonder never really does go away. At least, it didn't for me. I still sometimes catch myself thinking of Pepper and hoping she lived for awhile longer. I don't think she would have ever become someone's loved pet, as she was not an indoor cat. But, hopefully, she lived and had a fun time. And, hopefully, Niki is warm and healthy and being loved. Yep, I had a cat named Baxter when I was younger that went missing too, I'm like you, I still wonder about him. He was a sweetie. Thank you so much for your kind words -hug-
