What a loving sentiment, and a reminder to all of us that there are so many unwanted felines in need of love and devotion. In spite of our grief at losing one so dear to our heart, we eventually should welcome another forlorn soul, not to replace, but to honour our dearly departed kitty.

I am so glad you bumped this up. This is beautiful. It makes me think of the difficult time when my Taz must leave me. It really helps me know that it's okay to move on. Goodness, I do hope that time is many years from now. But I'm going to keep this poem on my computer so I can come back to it when I need to.
    Thank you.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
