    It is possible that he or she may have a bladder problem.....i suggest getting it checked out

    If it isn't a bladder problem, then it's most likely submissive peeing. I'm sure you can find several articles about it on the Net. It's very common.

    Yeah it does sound like submissive urination. Dogs who submissively urinate usually do so when they are very excited. I think reading up on it would be the best thing- I don't really know how to stop the behavior but maybe your friend could prevent it from happening sometimes by remaining calm and trying not to get the dog over-excitied (like when they are greeting the dog coming home).

    Yup, he is a piddler!! Micki used to "piddle" all over when he got excitedor scared, he grew out of it fortunatly!!

    Hope they help. I've had a few foster dogs with this problem. One was a young adult male Pit mix that would roll over on his back for a belly rub and then *squirt squirt* all over himself and anyone that got too close LOL. The other was a female Heeler. When I called to her she would run up, squat and piddle (seems to be a Heeler trait).
