I am very intrested in Guide and Assistance Dogs!!! If you don't know what they do, here's a few tasks they perform: Assistance Dogs: open doors, get the phone, open refrigerator doors, push elevator buttons, pull wheelchairs, get the keys, retrieve dropped items, take laundry in and out of the washer and drier, and much much more!! Here's what Guide Dogs do: stop at curbs, look left and right before crossing a street, look for cars when crossing, retrieve dropped items for it's master, because he/she is blind, open doors, lead it's master around things that may block the way, be aware of things it can pass under, but its master can't and a lot of other things!! I ALSO WANT TO KNOW IF ANY OF YOU HAVE A GUIDE DOG OR ASSISTANCE DOG. IF YOU DO PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THEM!!! Thank you!!!

TOO active and distactable! But, as a nurse, I would love to combine the two to do work in the nursing homes here. I have a couple of sites you might be interested in. Have to look up there addresses and then I'll post them. Labs are right up there as all kinds of therapy dogs! Maybe Sadie too! Did you ever watch Miracle Pets? One of our Dogs of the Day was one of the featured heroes! She was a lab. I have to check to make sure I have the date right, and then let you know so you can see her, and read her story! Read the topic I told you about, Cinder and Smokey in Dog Rescue. They just had their first experience as Therapy Dogs!
o p.m.!! There was a story about a Guide Dog, a Black Lab, named Shadow, who saved his masters life, by pushing him off the road, so he wouldn't get hit by this one car that was going WAY TOO FAST, and risked his (the dog) by getting hit by the car, instead of Nino, the owner,(I think that was name) getting hit by the car. Luckily, Shadow lived!!!!!!!!! I don't know what I would do if the world lost a Lab!!!! Hurry, and post the websites about Guide and Assistance Dogs!!!! I'm really anxious to see them!!!!!
