Then one day, this little girl saw Spike and ran home to ask her mother if she could keep him. Her mother said that we have to see if it belongs to anyone first. The little girl agreed and helped her mother put flyers up all around the town. A week later no one has came to claim Spike.

The little girl, name Amy asked her mother again if she could keep Spike, as she promised to make sure she will never lose interest in him, love him forever, etc.
Her mom said it was ok and then there was a knock on the door. Her mother answered the door and it was someone they didn't know. The guy was all dirty and mean. He asked if Amy & her mother have seen a pit bull puppy that is about a month old.

"Can you discribe this puppy" they asked the man with which he replied "It's a damned pit bull and it's a puppy. I just told you what he was"
