Thanks for the info. I'm still just a bit confused as to his behavior, though. It may just be the whole "I forgot" issue, like you said. The litter box is placed so that it really isn't in the middle of traffic. We have a kind of a sliding door to the basement stairs that I leave slightly opened enough for him to get in and out. And his food and water dishes are in a completely different room. So, I don't know what's wrong with our freak! LOL As for the pic, I'll see if I can post one up on here. If that doesn't work, the avatar beneath my name is kind of small, but that's him.
