That's the date when our paperwork was actually received by the Chinese government agency that deals with adoption. There is actually another date called the Log-in-Date which is the date that our information was logged into the computer system there. That is actually the date where the countdown begins, but it is a little more difficult to explain. On average, in a regular adoption (non-special needs), you get a referral 6-7 months after your DTC (dossier to China) date, and then travel 6-8 weeks after getting your referral.Originally posted by chrangharris
