Hee Hee, I cooked a whole stuffed chicken for dinner last night.
Yes, if it's whole, bake it at 325. You can put a little lemon and maybe a garlic clove on the inside if you like. I season the outside with salt, pepper and paprika. Tie the legs together and fold the wings underneath. I also put a slice or two of bacon on top before putting it into the oven.
I don't cover it at all, but that's a personal preference. I also baste mine alot....it helps with the browning and keeping it moist. Untie the legs 45 min before the end of cooking time.
Edit: just saw your reply above. Yes about an hour and a half is about right....I always wiggle the leg to check if it's done. Also if you pearce it with a fork and the liquid comes out clear, it's done.
Oh yes, and make sure you clean all surfaces really well with bleach after handling.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
