Ladies, I work in a very nice women's clothing store for sizes 14-26. Let me tell you, you are not alone! We have customers who have tried all kinds of things, many of them have had bariatric surgery - they do loose weight fast, but the risks and complications are so high! The ones who seem to keep the weight off are the women who 1. Eat less than they used to (still the same foods, though) and 2. Walk.
I'm still about 45 lbs overweight, too. Been on anti-depressents for 10 years. The new shrink says that Walking is the best thing to do for depression - he says it actually burns off the chemicals that make you feel depressed. And of course walking is a good way to exercise if you're like me, over 50 and not terribly active. Don't you just hate how our metabolisms changed?![]()
Anyway, sorry this is so long, strive for making progress a little at a time.
