Thanks for your replies everyone!
Good news! She had her surgery today. Turns out she didn't have pyometra after all --- infact, her uterus is very healthy, so she only had her tubes tied (I think? Either way she was spayed without having her uterus removed). She had the lump removed as well. It was hard getting her to wake up. She's going to be recooperating for a while. As we speak she is sleeping. She really doesn't want to wake up. We don't know why she had the symptoms that made it seem like pyometra -- including why she growled when we touched her tummy.
She is bleeding from where she had the lump removed. They said it was normal for her to bleed, but it's scary. The carpet is covered in blood. She has a tube inside of her skin to relieve the pressure of the tight skin against her.
My roomate has decided to keep her. Definatly a housefull now lol. When I get my houla, it'll be 5 dogs -- that is, if I keep my foster. Oh well, we have the room, so why not?!
Just thought y'all should know the good news. We have a new family member, and she's going to be okay. Thanks for the thoughts.
