Good for you! I know the first time I had to give Mishi Sub-Q's I was scared. I grew up in a medical household and am used to seeing needles used; putting one in my beloved cat all by myself was another thing. I, too, prayed before and during and it does help. I think they realize we're doing something good for them. Mishi stayed perfectly still while I did the deed and didn't put up too much of a fuss. He's doing well and I don't need to give him Sub-Q's right now, but if I ever do, I know I can do it.

Of course, the straddle position helps too - that's my favorite way of administering pills. Works almost every time.
