Actually, he does. Just before he was sewn up, the attendant gave me a little red heart. I was told to hold it tightly in my hand and make a wish for the recipient. Then the heart was placed inside and he's put together.

Oh and btw, the build a bear workshop is only 15 min. from where I live. It's hard to visit the mall without stopping in.
