WOW!!! Those are AMAZING pictures! I went to Alaska when I was 9, but, I don't have any amazing scenery with a disposable camera and a 9 yr. old taking the pics.

Thanks for sharing! I will be going to Alaska when I graduate! I absolutely LOVE the scenery! I hope that you had a wonderful time!

Not having the slightest ideas of state abbreviations it was obvious for me that this must be Alaska. Oh I HAVE to see that one day. And seeing you kayaking on Chilkkot Lake- I'd wish I was there

The problem is: I love it if it's not too hot and can live very well with nasty weather but Siegmar wants it warm. So we got to the British Columbia-Alaska border- but I am not sure Siegmar wants to repeat that experience

It just let me edit it like the rest of the post, but I think that might be new. I seem to remember not being able to do that before too!

LOL!!!!!!! I thought the EXACT same thing. I thought, "I didn't know Arkansas was that gorgeous." Then I thought, "How in the WORLD could she drive to Arkansas in just 5 hours???" I lost the US map in my head for a moment. THEN, I realized........"OHHHHHHHH ALASKA! DUH!!!!!!" LOL!!!!! No wonder!!! Now we ALL know Alaska is one AMAZING, GORGEOUS, STUNNING state! Makes so much more sense now.

BEAUTIFUL pictures! BEAUTIFUL! Its my DREAM to see Alaska one day........one of the states I 'so' desperately want to visit.

I love Allison Moorer! The first I heard her was on the Horse Whisperer soundtrack. She's beautiful! That's cool that she's engaged to Steve Earle. Looks like a concert I'd have enjoyed, for sure.

That picture of the entrance to the lake made me cry. It's just so beautiful, and, I love that feeling of being so small standing in the presence of nature like that. Awe inspiring, is right. That picture of you on the deck of the cabin is actually my favorite, though. Not sure why, it's just comforting somehow.

Wow great pics . I had several freinds up there this week Ron and Jackie are working at a gift shop there in Hanies. they are from Ok . Also freinds on a cruise Richard and Mandy they work with me. I suppose it would be too werid if you had met them.
Hey is your hubby going to be called out to Montana for any of our fires? Let me know if so I'd love to make sure he's got lots of goodies .
