So, who says the parteee is over???
Richard arrived a while ago and he's teaching be how to boil beans....
As I sit here, there is howling laughter coming from the deck....Richard, Laura, Alexa, Staci, Zippy, Kelly, Laurie and Gini are starting happy hour all over again.

Did I just hear something about Pet Talk pasties???
Mary, I'm so glad that you made it back without incident. Thanks for checking in.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Awwww!!! I wish I was there! Still sounds like a pretty decent sized crowd is having some fun at Gini's. Have fun for me guys...I'm stuck at work right now wishing I was there with you all, and then I have to deal with the annoying accident stuff again tomorrow morning! *sigh*

Glad you made it home, Mary. That was indeed the worst commute ever! Staci's too!

    **hugs**

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Mary, you are a trooper, if I ever knew one! Maybe next year, you, Scott and I can travel together to make sure we all arrive in one piece, or at least keep each other company. Maybe it could even just be you and me.......we'll see about that! If it is financially possible, I do not see myself missing next year's get together because my heart was broken all weekend, not being there when I wanted to be so badly.

You guys are the best! Hope you're having a terrific time this evening!!!!

Ok, so I was having too much fun to get too many good pics - what can I say? Sorry. Here are the few good ones I got, in no particular order since my picture program is screwing up on me and putting things in all sorts of weird orders.

Sara modeling her apron from Lut with a green slushie in hand.

Terry, Karen and I toured the Mission San Juan Capistrano. It was founded in November 1776 and is beautiful and historic. Here are Karen and I posing with the bouganvilla (I know that's spelled wrong).

    Our host - Don Eduardo.

Richard showing off the crisp white German wine from Barbara.

Trying to play photographer here. A view of Laguna Beach from above.

    Eddie grazing

We hiked up a hill near Sara's house. Quite the workout but what a view!
Left to right back to front - Karen, Randi, Debbie, Sara - the Southern contingent of PT BBQers.

Our wonderful hostess - Lady Edwina.

The now infamous firemen. Fortunately they didn't get lost in the L & F....or maybe unfortunately.....

Randi making Danish meatballs. Sara had the most adorable kitty kat apron for her (this was before the BBQ and Lut's aprons).

We visited some motorhome friends while we were there. We stopped at the Swallows Inn which is a real dive of a bar, but it was neat and we played whatever this game is. Terry and friend.

Friend showing off the score, and this was not made up! We tied at exactly 21 to 21!!

    Eddie profile.

Karen & Gini making small talk with the LAFD.

Will you puh-leeze get that flashy thing out of my face! She wasn't too happy I was interrupting her nap.

We all had to make an arrow telling where we came from, how far it is and staple it on the post in the direction we came from. Here is Sara's arrow. It says "Laguna Niguel - alot closer if the men would listen!" Just a slight reference to the fact that we made a slight detour because Don didn't take the exit Sara told him to.

Slick & Laurie with the neighbors goldens. Look how Laurie's hair matches so perfectly!

Cava and wine from Koxka. We did put the Catalonia flag on before we presented them.

Another view of Laguna Beach. Perfect weather, beautiful scenery, good food and good friends....who would want to come back to work?

Eddie having a "private moment" with his bankie and pillow.

Sara, Terry and Randi drove to the bottom of the hill that we climbed up near their house (see previous post). Don, Karen and I walked up this part of the hill, plus the steep part - quite the work out unless your're in a car.

Randi modeling her apron from Lut.

Laguna Beach - No swimming, surfing only, and they were! Now this is California! Of course Terry wanted me to tell everybody that the surfer was him...

Friends and us overlooking the Dana Point Harbor. It was foggy so that's why there's not much of a view. According to the Harbor Patrol, it's the end of what they call the "June Gloom" where it's foggy and cool. I thought the weather was perfect!

    Here's our arrow.

The flower connisieur (spelling again?) himself.

After sniffing the flowers, he started rubbing his gums on the books standing there....and knocked them over! It was early morning and the house was quiet until the big crash! Fortunately I think everybody was still sleeping so I just put the books back up nicely so he didn't get scolded for anything.

Eddie knew we were leaving so he was rolling around acting his cutest for me. He's such a good boy....well...most of the time anyway. Makes me so happy to see him so happy.

One more roll. I guess he visited Randi and Karen in bed, but not us - pout pout.

Oops, I guess that's it! Hope you enjoy! I know there aren't that many of the actual BBQ....hopefully others have more/better ones.

Wah I'm jealous! You got to meet the E's! Great pics .... and what's this about PT pasties? Is that the food kind or the "other" kind? Oh dear! We might have to wear them to Thursdays or the BBQ next year!

Wow! Great pictures!!! Looks like you all had a fabulous time. I can't wait to see more. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the pic of Sara and Richard posed together. That must have been a sight to see. He he he!

    Now...........

Does anyone care to explain how or WHY there were firemen there? I'm kinda lost.
