The story of Gus....
Like his nickname, the story of Gus is relatively short. A friend of a friend found this little orphan nearly a month ago wandering her property. She fed him, he came back, and back. She is highly allergic, and wasn't really interested in a cat. She made contact with me, through the mutual friend, and we were all set to make the transfer....BUT she got cold feet. She had grown accustomed to Gus. So, plans went on hold for a week. I followed up, as I was concerned with Gus living the life of an outdoor kitty-though she did let him in during the day. She was ready to let him go. BUT, on that day of the adoption, her HUSBAND called, and said he was bringing Gus over, as his wife couldn't bear to part with him.I emailed her to tell her maybe this meant Gus should stay with her. But, she had made her mind up. So, on July 1st (wow, a week ago today!) Gus came on over to tux'ville.
He is a large cat, with the hugest paws and longest tail I have seen. I would think he is every bit of 5 pounds. He gives Montie the biggest run for his money- which is SUCH a blessing to the girl cats. Gus has completely blended in, which is the benefit of adding kittens to the herd. Tenny is STILL not happy, but, that will change.
Gus is such a playful little guy. I can't wait until he is snuggly with me. Thanks for welcoming him to the PT family.
