Yep my mom and my grandparents worked hard to defeated the Axis and the shovels and the rakes.....


She sat down and was patient, planted victory gardens, recycled rubber, steel, copper, used ration cards........Did I mention Granddaddy was a block warden for the Civil Defense.....

The may have not like the war, but they were supportive, patient, and did what they had to do to make a bad situation bearable.
