To clarify; War of the Worlds was written by Howard Koch and broadcast live over the radio in October 1938. It was broadcast live, narrated by Orson Wells as a drama, but hundreds upon hundreds, THOUSANDS of people, Nation wide believed it to be actual and panicked.
I remember hearing about that. I didn't realize that that was War of the Worlds though.
