ANYONE in the US military raping or otherwise abusing people is going to get what's coming to them when the light shines on their actions. It's a simple rule of thumb.........criminals are basically stupid, if they were smart they probably wouldn't be criminals in the first place (Over simplification, I know, but it's a nice conversation piece).

Look at Abu Ghirab......If they were smart they wouldn't have been taking pics of what they were doing. Abu Ghirab was an anomaly, and while it was inexcusable (and the people responsible have been punished) it in no way rose to the level of killing innocent civilians.

As far as the discussion getting heated, If you are going to accuse US Soldiers, sailors and airmen of violating basic rules of conduct with blanket accusations like "it happens in every war" and other trite lines, you're damned right it's going to get heated, and it will get heated in a hurry.
