When I worked at the vet, you could get some spray to help stop itching (Bentagin?). You could try that. She's probably itching because the skin is healing.

Benadryl may not help the itching, but it will make her sleepy...and not want to play as much. So maybe that could help too?

Hope she gets better quick.
