Hi everybody, reporting in from just south of Greenville, TX, just Northeast of Dallas. I called again about 45 minutes before closing, hoping it would be a little slow for them, and I think I was successful. The tech was a little more forthcoming with information and I also got to talk to the doc. First of all though, the tech answered in her normal business voice. I said this is Debbie and I'm just calling to check up on Peanut. She immediately went into a sweet sappy voice and said "Awww Peanut, she's such a sweety." I think she's charming the pants off them.

Anyway, onto the important stuff. The tech then asked me what Peanut normally eats. Seems they haven't been able to get her to eat much yet, but I think that's still normal and starting to get a little worrisome, but not too much yet.

Then I got to talk to the doc. He said she's doing fine for what she's been through. She's producing urine which is good, and he said she is not incontinent because where she lays is not wet, but she's not making it to the box all the time either so he's watching that. But he explained she only has 50% of her bladder left, and the bladder itself went through quite a trauma, so so far nothing is out of the ordinary. He did say that eventually the bladder will stretch a little more, but more than likely she will have to go to the bathroom more often than before, which is to be expected if your bladder is smaller. And I would think, if it's painful to move, I wouldn't make it all the way to the bathroom either!

So he said everything is going as well as can be expected and she's doing well. She is up and moving around, but still weak, which is also to be expected.

I know that even if I was home, I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing her home yet, but at least I'd be able to visit her, and let her know her meowmy hasn't abandoned her, but we'll be home before she and we know it and she's better off at the vet anyway. But yes Jen, it has already seemed like forever, and I just wish I could give her a little smooch and tell her its all going to be ok....

But, like I say, all in all, she's doing as well as can be expected. I will be calling again tomorrow morning, but we pick up the new motorhome tomorrow and then we travel back to Oklahoma where there is no signal, so I will check in when I can.

Please keep the good thoughts and prayers going for my little sweet pea - thanks.
