I agree. We actually hydrogenated olive oil (in other words...made margarine) in Organic Chemistry Lab last semester and it was not black - it was whitish and reminded me of lard. YUM!Originally posted by Lady's Human
Margarine is not black before being dyed, it's whitish and when first produced was required by law to be sold as is with a dye packet separately so it wouldn't be mistaken for butter. How would you dye something yellow if it was naturally black?![]()
