oh ok. then willow is definitely different than lotus. lol. but i don't necessarily want to name my baby "willow"... at least the definition kater is giving here (it's not that common). however the word "lotus"... i have seen it in quite many chinese female names. that's something you can think about.
i think people put "graceful willow" just to make it sounds nice.
if i break up my 2 characters in my chinese names... it means "victory" "poem" (hee... i am not giving out my chinese name though)
