Catmandu, I love that picture of your cats and all those treats. That is so funny, looks kind of like my house. Star seems to think that every time I leave the house and come back, I've got a treat for her. LOL... Of course she has more toys than I even had growing up. Haha

Also, I do believe that your mothers theory is correct. :-) Your cats seem to be proof too.
