I'm George the Orange, co-founder of The FUR-Defenders of Feline Rights and Realities. We help cats who are abused by their mommies, suffering such indignities as baby clothes, treat deprivation, and close-up booty shots being distributed to other mommies.

To help get our message to other cats who might need our help, we have a monthly contest -- the Martyr of the Month. Each month, we accept applications and picture evidence from worthy candidates. On the 25th, the voting begins -- cats view the contest page, then e-mail us their votes. There is a limit of 1 vote per cat, with a maximum of five per household. The winner and runner-up gets a huge package of cat toys, treats, and nip.
