Well we work at the Humane Society so we REALLY understand the attention demands of animals I bought 3 books on cockatiels and we're all reading all the books before we even get the bird. We're not going to make a hasty decision because whatever we end up with, we want to know 100% how to take care of. We see too many uncared for animals on a daily basis at work.

I will look into finches too though. I just completely fell in love with cockatiels.. especially today on Outreach when I saw a bunch at the pet store we were at.
