I know what you mean. I donate to the HS of US and they send me so much stuff - keychains, stuffed animals, umbrellas, notepads, address labels, picture frames and albums. It makes hubby mad and says I'm just buying their stuff. I do wonder how much goes for animals and how much goes to promotional items I don't need.
