I'm a Golden fanatic so any effort I make seems effortless! Actually, Goldens aren't as hard to maintain as people believe if you do regular maintenance. I feed quality foods that produce healthy coats and skin so the shedding is always under control except for twice a year when they Blow coat in order to get ready for winter or summer. Then it lasts about a week or two max if you brush them alot during that period.
Dixie can go for days without being brushed and always looks groomed. Dusty can go for even longer periods because his coat is more silky. But I brush them both about one a day or atleast every two or three.
As for grooming them, I do it myself once a month with little touch ups inbetween if necessary!
