Thank you, everyone.
The weekend was ...rough.
Jordan's parents are Jehovah Witnesses, though Jordan stepped away from that path years ago. A service was held at their church and there was no body... no urn. (Later found out that Jordan had wished to be cremated) They talked only a little about Jordan and then it turned into a scripture lesson. Many had nothing to do about death.
The service was emotionally void. I know funerals are for the living and I'm sure it was Jordan's parents needed, but I didn't get that closure. I didn't get to say goodbye to my friend. It still doesn't feel real. I expect him to call or email me at any time.
His parents are very nice people. I had to choke back tears when Jordan's dad told Andy and I how fondly Jordan talked of us.
