I'm not sure if Simba & Nala's stories count as "picking" us but in a way they did..
Simba was at the SPCA for 4 months. My dad and I first went to the Humane Society which is a lot closer than the SPCA. The dog we were looking at the HS was already adopted, So I dragged him to the SPCA. There was Simba, the ONLY dog laying down and just staring at us. If we hadn't taken him he would have been put to sleep very soon.
Nala was with a bunch of her littermates in the puppy area at the HS. We had asked one of the volunteers there if the puppies were adopted, he had said they were. Just in case, I remembered her collar number and we went to the office. We told the lady at the front office her number and she handed us papers. We were lucky that guy didn't know what he was talking about.
Kiara chose us definetly. She was so scared and would hide from other people when they walked by her kennel. She came right up to the door and pawed at it while we stood there.
