An up-date on Princess. She was sleeping most of the day yesterday on my bed with a large towel that I have set aside for my feline use. Last night she began to lick her injured leg (hip) , and now she is up and around a bit more. I suspect that her leg will take some time to heal, because it was an internal injury, but also I know that cats have amazing healing abilities. Wherever I am there she is also, whether I am sleeping, or on the keyboard, she is a very loyal kitty. Mama cat had the exact same injury last summer after being attacked by coyotes. It took her about 2 weeks to fully recover.
Whenever Princess wants to tell me something she will automatically place her butt in front of me and and then swish her tail across my nose and face. Although I have been treated like this before by her, it just now crossed my mind that this is her manner to let me know that she wants something -usually cuddling, or something to eat.
