Being a PETA member myself I do know that this is not hidden information from anybody. When you are concerned about a group, positively or negatively, you learn about them. I am a member because I agree with some of the causes, however every group has its downfalls, look at the SPCA. I think that it is immature for PETA to post billboards and signs everywhere just as it is for this sign to go up. People who autamatically trusted this group to take care of their abandoned pets should have done their research, as with the case of euthanized pets going for disection. I have to defend them in some way. No, I don't agree with the ethics of them euthanizing all of these animals (the aspca also euthanizes this percentage of animals), but look at all the good they have done. They created better living conditions for animals in circuses because they made people aware, they got KFC (and other chains) to (well maybe kfc told the truth) have better conditions for their animals, the exposed Iams and other companies that hid what they were doing. I still support the March of Dimes, although they are killing animals and doing inhumane research, because they do good things for children. Anyway, I think it may be surprising to you guys since you expected more from this group, but they are no better or worse than every other group out there.
