I don't name my spiders or scorpions as I have far too many.lol I'm affraid the only names they get are specie names and if I have more of that species than one, they also get a number! Talk about prison conditions.lol
Haplopelma lividum is indeed an intresting spider but you may not see it as much as your others. This species is a burrower so needs to have nice deep substrate, nothing less that 8" (20cm) IMO. If you buy an adult of this species, it often helps if you start the burrow off for it by pushing a broom handle or something similar into the earth. This way the spider will get settled quicker and therefore be stressed for a shorter period of time (this works I find 95% of the time).
Be careful with this spider though as they can be very fast and are quick to defend themselfs by biteing if they feel threatend. Once they have settled in their burrow though they will sit at the entrence at night waiting for food, but at the slightest dissturbance will run back inside.
Coming from Burma and Thailand this species needs to have a more moist substrate, but don't over do it. Also like I find with most of my tarantulas keeping them at a temp of about 22-24 °c is high enough (I only raise temps if the spider has been mated).
