Stop chewing on gum or anything chewy, like starbursts. Eat soft foods that you don't have to put a great deal into chewing. This very thing has been going on with me since I was about 4. It's absolutely no fun, but you learn to deal with it. More often than not, I don't feel the pain.. just pressue and discomfort because I can't move my jaw past a certain point. However, you WILL get used to it and the pain will go away! Feel better soon.
