Aww, Duncan! Great story... you chose wisely. ESP isn't it great!
Great thread, Jen!

Well, LOUD Louie actually picked me. Matter of fact every dog that has been in my life has always picked me, not the other way around.
Shadow (RB) my heart dog, was one of those “in the paper Free” puppies. I was in high school and wanted a dog of my own; my family had always raised Bassett Hounds. I wanted a big dog.
Shadow was supposed to be my Newfy… after meeting his family he was perfect. He was Shepard/ Retriever mix. I got to meet his whole family. All the puppies came running out and Shadow was the only one to flop on my foot and pee on me. I guess that’s how Shadow chose me. He was such a great guy… I miss him every day.

With LOUD Louie I had done a bunch of research on Corgis before deciding on getting one. I found a wonderful breeder. Very, helpful and knowledgeable. She gave me pick of the litter. We met in the center of Washington State… She and her family drove ½ way and we drove ½ way… LOUD Louie’s first day with us was spent mostly in the car. I got to meet both of Louie’s parents, and ALL his littermates. When it came time for me to pick.. I went back to the car to get the crate, and LOUD Louie was the ONLY puppy to follow me, so that’s how he became my son.

He’s been a Cling- On ever since… very much a Mama’s boy.
