Whisper kept attacking Shadow and she would urinate in her beds to show her frustruation. We took her to the vet to make sure it wasn't a UTI, diabetes, or other ailment and learned it was just behavioral. We are currently keeping her in our bedroom until we move (at the end of July), and hopefully we will be able to get a larger place in North Carolina. I think it's a "too many kitties, in such a small place." We live in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home but maybe that is just not large enough space for Whisper. He never really had this dominance problem until we moved here...or at least it has gotten much worse since our move to AL.
We had tried the spray bottle when he attacked her, chasing him out of the rooom, giving them each attention separately...didn't work and his attacks became worse. Shadow is doing wonderfully and returning back to how she was when we first got her. Callie is with her either at night or during the day and she is out of the room when we're at home. Our bedroom is fairly large (about the size of the living room). The other cats are usually only in the living room, kitchen area anyway so it's not a drastic size difference for her.
