I may be too late, but don't let him know you know about Pooka. You need to get back on his good side somehow. Then you can "visit" them later and steal her back. It would probably have to be a surprise visit though because if they knew you were coming, they'd hide the dog for sure. You just probably don't want to make them mad or you might not ever see her again.
