Glad the story had a happy ending and that Rena got home safe.


I had a similar experience today, but ona smaller scale. I ran to the corner drugstore to pick up a wedding card for a reception we were going to tonight. About 2 streets from home, I saw a youg boy, 6- or 7, trying to chase a mixed breed dog. He was close to tears, and every time he got close the dog it would run the other way.

I stopped my truck in the middle of the road, and asked if it was his dog, and if he needed help. The dog ran right to me, so I picked it up (he only weighed about 30-35 lbs), and carried him home...about 5 or 6 houses. I have to say...the dog didn't smalle so good, I really wanted to take him home and bath him, but at least he got home safe!
