How'd I miss this thread? I sure hope she's healing well, and that they didn't take off too much hair. I also hope the surgery was a success and that she hears perfectly!

Just checking this Lut! I have said my prayers for Indra and for you. ((((HUGS))))
Thank you for the update and I will check back to hear what the doctor said.
Two of mine had ear surgery after infections and I SOOO remember that feeling when they leave and that door close...
But THAT is over and praying all will be well and Indra will soon come home!!

Lut, it's good to know the surgery is over. Prayers and best wishes for a quick recovery are going Indra's way

    Update nr 3

Just arrived back home. Indra was sound asleep, so we closed her curtains and got back home. We spoke a nurse, and she says that if Indra has a good night, she will be allowed to come home tomorrow morning already!! WOOHOO!! Thanks for all the prayers: they worked!!

ps. Indra was complaining that she didn't get any food yet. Only a cup of water . I told her that if she got really hungry during the night, that it was okay to call a nurse and ask for a yoghurt

Got here late, but our prayers for a quick recovery are joining the pack of other PT prayers.

Cassy and Livvy are sending paw pats, purrs, and headbumpies, too. Poor Indra, not sure she's up to their enthusiasm!

    Update nr.4

She is home!!!When I arrived a the hospital, she was sitting on her bed, waitng for me already! We went to the doc's office to remove the bandages. Yuck, it wasn't a nice sight.. Her hair is a real mess too! They used some kind of gel to "flatten" her hair and keep the operation area hair-free. She has a 2cm scar behind her ear. I cannot explain what they did, as it is rather technical... . She has to go back to remove stiches on april 21st.

When she got home she had tears in her eyes. She thought she would hearing much better righ away... , so she is dissapointed ;. Her hearing is even less.... . She will have to be patient.....
I am happy she is home

I hope in time that she will be able to hear better. Tell her the hair can grow back, although I know it must be sad to look at it right now. I'm glad she's doing well.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.

Oh Lut, I missed this thread too! Sending prayers over from here that Indra's surgery will help her hear better. There's probably swelling in the area that is causing her to hear less than before. Did she have a cochlea implant? Her hair is still beautiful I'm sure, and will grow back...it's her hearing that's more important.

Lut, I agree, she probably has swelling that will go down and then she can appreciate the increased hearing ability.

She is so young, all of this must be so difficult for her.

Prayers being said for a speedy recovery for her.

I'm so happy Indra's surgery went well and that she is home. I'm sure once her ears begin to heal that she will hear things better.
