Lizzie has the silkiest fur I have ever felt on a cay - shiny, too.
Robbie's fur is coarse and almost wiry but still nice to pet and also shiny.
Emily is soft - especially her white fur - it is softer than the grey by far.
Eliot is very much like Robbie's - coarse and straight but soft.
Dylan has ultra soft long fur that amazingly - does not mat or tangle

Many of my cats are similar....
Ashley, Biddy, Bonnie, Kim, Lucas, Monte, Sterling, Willow all feel satiny, very sleek.

Amber's is cottony and dry, always looks messy, unkept.

Calvin and Jim are fluffy, semi thick and a medium length. Soft

Jasper's is super fine and very slippery (almost greasy, but not) Medium length.

Fern and Mickey are short hair, but THICK and it stands erect from the body. Very plush.

I think I hit them all.

    How cute!

I just love kitty fur! Isn't it amazing how different it can be from cat to cat?

Marius - His fur is sleek and lies close to his body. His tummy, head and chin are the softest part of the body, and the rest of him is semi-soft.

Scooter - he is a "plush" kitty. I swear he has two different coat types: an under coat and an overcoat! His undercoat is really soft, but his overcoat is a little bristly.

Sergei - this is the softest kitty I have ever touched. His fur feels very much like rabbit fur He is probably the most petted cat in our household because he is so soft. Plus, he's really the only cat that tolerates being picked up and held for extended periods of time. Plus, he's a purr-bucket!

    **hugs**

Storm's fur is very thin and silky. It's so soft too just like rabbit fur.

Sunny's fur is silky and very smooth to the touch. He also has longer softer fur on his belly and loves belly rubs.

Cirrus's fur is coarse but has gotten softer since I've owned him. The fur under his chin and his longer belly fur are very soft.

Sky's fur is both coarse and soft. The top layer is coarse and the undercoat is very soft. His head and neck and belly fur are also very soft. It seems like all of his white fur is the softest.

    good thread!

Kylie's fur reminds me of Rabbit fur. Very soft and fluffy. Mats occasoinally. Hair on belly is thinner mebbe due to the expanse of the belly!? She definately benefits from regular bathing with water and kitty shampoo.... Alot of times I have to have my fingers in Kylie's fur when I go to sleep.

Kloe's fur is a shorter - thick and silky soft. I am not sure if her fur is as short as most short hairs are. A cat from a litter before her has extremely short hair. But I don't think she is considered Medium hair either... I had decided my next cat was going to have short hair come he(( or high water, and she took so long to lose her kitten fuzz I thought she was going to be medium/long haired and asked my friend for a refund/return!

I just love to touch Kloe's hair b/c she is so soft, altho she gets rather pi$$y when you want to touch her a lot.

    OOPS...How could I????

Rutherford is a joy to pet. You can run your fingers up AND down and it rustles just as well either way. It is soft and fine and like strands of finely spun silk.
