I had a cat named BooBoo he was such a little talker. EVERY time you would touch him he would talk. He died in October of 2004. It was very sad I came home to him laying in the sun dead.

He's beautiful. That's all I can say. Sorry his mouth is getting him into trouble. Maybe you are going to have to find a special place for him to sleep that is all his own and is far from you? When our son was little, he was very easily woken, so we used to put our two cats to bed in a special place to sleep. Of course, we have a large house, so finding a room for them was not difficult. They didn't love being "banished," but it did solve the noise problem.
If I did not know that our Nicholas was right here as I write, I would think he was living with you!!! Except for a few blotches of orange, he could be Bob's twin!!! Nicholas is nearly 10, and CAN HE TALK UP A STORM!!! Your Bob looks like a real love!! Have you tried ear plugs? I like the silicon ones, they work with a snoring husband, should work with a talking cat!!!
Nine is Fine!!
If you are not allergic to feathers, a very small, light feather pillow could help, too. I have found that a feather pillow will block out high-pitched sounds (though not bass-pitched sounds). I sleep on my side, so I just plop the small pillow over the ear that's facing up. It blocks out early morning bird sounds on mornings I want to sleep late - and it just might block out cat wails. I can't remember if I have tried it for cats.
Yep - go to your local hardware store and get the foam earplugs! They are comfy and won't drown out the smoke or fire alarm!
Good luck!
Catty1
