I didn't have time to post the other day - but I've been watching Kiara's progress -
so GLAD to see that 'happy tail' back up and working!
many years ago, my golden, Tara, also 'sprained' her tail. Like Kiara, we could not figure out what on earth she had done - she was about 2 or 3 yrs old and she was my happy, ball chasing maniac girl. Normally, Tara was a very 'happy' golden. But with her sprained tail, she looked so forlorn and sad. Like you, I took Tara into the vet - she didn't seem to be in pain ( but then, goldens are very tolerant of pain and discomfort) but she just would not wag or untuck her tail. it was really depressing seeing a happy dog with her tail down. a little less than a week later, she was back to wagging and thumping.
so i understood just how you felt. It's amazing how much those tails communicate and how much WE depend on them! LOL!
I'm really glad that it doesn't seem to be broken and is healing fast, and glad you have your happy girl back - she looks to be quite a sweet charmer!
give her lots of hugs and kisses from us!
Laura, Jon,
Fizz and Pixel
