Wow - another amazing story!! I'm so impressed that you and your husband and your other cats lived through all that and came out better for it! Since I am newer here, I didn't know all the drama that came with some of your cats.

How does Magoo get around without his eyes? Is he pretty good at it by now? It doesn't impede him too much, does it? He is a scrappy cutie! I cannot believe what you guys lived through and that you still took in another couple cats after that! Wow.

Thanks to krazyaboutkatz for the cute avatar and wolf_Q for the cute siggy!

Rest in Peace, sweet Leo. You are sorely missed!
Since I last posted, we have another new addition - Tabitha, as of fall 2008.

What a wonderful thing you did to persevere with Magoo when very few others would have. Thank you for the story for us newbees and for giving everyone a glimpse into your life with a handicapped cat. Nose bumps to Magoo from all of my furry crew!

I can't get over how patient you and Pawpaw were with Magoo, and what a GREAT reward you have now in that beautiful and loving kitty.

(I especially love those white white paws of his!)

Thank you for sharing all of his story with us.

This is not for me - but I will tell you what I have seen with MY eyes! I got to meet Magoo in purrson and forgot he was even blind! He acts like he can see. He sits in the window sill and "looks out" - he comes right up to you without missing a beat, follows you everywhere (VERY friendly) and I saw him dodge chair and table legs without running into *anything*. I don't think he is blind at all...except he has no eyes If he had eyes - I would never believe it at all. No kidding!!

Lisa, I remember Magoo's story like it was yesterday. I had never cried so much throughout his and your ordeal and I am sitting here crying again as I read his story.

He is such an inspiration to all of us.

I really think you and your hubby are remarkable people.
For what you went through with Magoo and how your hubby helped get each kitty one by one into the house. Bless you both.

I am so glad that we were all here to help you through your dilemma whether to keep Magoo or bring him back to the shelter.
I'm so glad that you decided to give him another chance and boy you got paid back ten fold with this guy. Who would have ever thought that this cantankerous of a cat, would turn out to be such a sweetheart. It was all to do with you and your hubby's persistance, love and caring that you had for him.

I will never tire or your Magoo and I hope and pray that one day, I will be able to meet my Magoo and you guys too.
