The trucks and their loads of fresh fare were traveling on U.S. 20 early Tuesday when they collided a few miles east of LaGrange in northeastern Indiana, LaGrange County Sheriff Greg Dhaene said.

The doughnuts didn't spill and no people were injured, Dhaene said.
"The public was never in any danger. When the call went out that a donut truck was involved we had every available police unit from the surrounding counties race to the accident scene...."
