Did you say you've tried giving her to others to take care of? How long have she been hanging around?

I think you should name her because pretty soon her REAL name will be Nameless. Or some variation of kitty, sweetie, honey, etc. You don't want to be stuck with a nameless cat for the next 15 to 20 years, now do you?

And 3 really isn't that much compared to 2. I whined to go from 2 to 4, and can't remember what life was like as a two kitty family. Three sounds perfectly sane to me!

Mowgli's pretty much ok this morning. We had a rousing round of "Chase the Bed Mice" last night. As long as he can't smell Nameless on me, he's happy.

Poor sweet Zelda is so unhappy this morning that she's hissing and swatting at Mowgli when he gets close.

Well, I've been trying to talk a couple of co-workers into taking her if her owners can't be found. They all go, "No! No no no!" And then they see her picture on my computer monitor and go, "Awww... She is a cutie..."

I wouldn't fret over it, Gary. Somehow, I think that if I can't find her owners, CCL might be right. Despite all my protesting, I'll probably try to find some way to afford that first set of vet bills and Mowgli and Zelda will probably have a new sis.

I just have to try to find her owners first. Otherwise I'd feel guilty over making her go "poof."

There is a slim chance I've got some cash coming my way in a few weeks, provided that the person who lost it doesn't realize where he or she lost it at. I don't know how much, though, because when I found it in an envelope out front of the bank, I didn't open it and count before turning it in. But once the time limit runs out for the owner to claim it, it'll go to me. So if honesty pays off, I might have spay monies coming my way. I'm just not sure what the time limit on that is.

Since she showed up on a PT Thursday, maybe I should just call her after one of the ingredients in the DOTD... Kahlua. I dunno, though. Ummm... Suggestions are good!

    She appears pregnant! Is she?
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Obviously, we need a little reminder of how to deal with stray cats.....

I think we're already about six rules down....

If she's just a lost pet, I hope you find her hoomins soon. But if she's been dumped, I think she'll make a great addition to the family.
