There's a different pet every day, hence, it's called pet of the day! (Pet Talk is connected to pet of the day, and it got started a long time after Karen decided to create a forum for the site) There's also "dog of the day" and "cat of the day." In the "Discuss today's pet of the day," members of Pet Talk compliment or comment the pet posted on the pet of the day page! It's the same with the cats and dogs too.
