Hey y'all - I know there was a little discussion about whether or not to reserve the shelter- it was a little nicer out this past weekend and I was at the dogpark - there were some peope having a cookout in the shelter - people without dogs!

What airport is closest to you, Micki? Dallas? Isn't there 2 in Dallas? Dallas, TX - Love Field (DAL)

I think we're staying at Anna's house which is in Piqua Ohio. From what I can figure (and I don't know Ohio so you Ohio people can give some imput) it looks like Dayton would be the closest to her house...then Columbus? I think Toledo may be closer to the park but I don't see an airport there...*edit* NM I see one now I was blind before I guess lol. I'm sure there's an airport in Cleveland too but that's not real close to either location.

Hey your dogs are small enough one could ride under your seat on the plane. It's $75 each way though unfortunatly.

Ok, what I would need would be a hotel close to the park and an airport close to the hotel, lol. I don't want to pay a fortune in cab fare. Can any locals tell me where the park is and where an airport is located in relation to it?

I think Toledo is the closest to the park which is in Findlay, OH. According to yahoo maps it's about an hour away.

So, I could fly into Dayton and take a cab to Piqua. I found a LaQuinta that I could stay at there and then if I can hitch a ride to and from the meeting, I'd be set. A cab back to the airport on Sunday, and it CAN be done!

My only problem is the flight. The only ones I've found leave early Friday, and that could be a problem with for my boss. I doubt I could leave early, since we'll be crazy busy by then.

What time could you leave on Friday? I found a few evening flights...they are more expensive than the morning ones however.

LOL, I'm too chicken to have to change planes.

I've found a few flights that I'm going to check on tomorrow. I'm exhausted right now and going to bed. I'm also going to ask my boss about working a half day on Friday the 25th. I'm sure she'll say no, but it never hurts to ask!

Anna - can you tell me what hotels aren't creepy in Piqua? Is the LaQuinta ok?

Micki I'm too chicken to have to do that too...I got a non-stop flight. It usually costs more but the peace of mind is worth it.

And yes, the LaQuinta is a very nice motel, only a couple of years old.
