48% Yankee, barely into the Yankee category. I guess that makes sense, since I was born in the Midwest - not far above the Mason-Dixon line, in Southern Illinois. I spent 7 years living in Louisiana, including the 4 years I attended LSU, and I picked up a few things down there. I have lived in St. Louis, MO, since July 2003, so I guess I'm swinging back toward Yankee again. Pretty good test - I'll have to pass this one on.
There are a couple things I do that are more Southern, and a couple things I do that are more Northern - for example, I still will say "Y'all" occasionally, just b/c it's easier than saying "You guys" or "You all", but I say it less often than I did when I first moved up here. Interesting.
One of the true tests of where you're from is what you call where you put groceries at the store - I call it a shopping cart, b/c that's what I learned growing up, but down South, most people call them buggies. Hmmm. Interesting thread.
